The new “Shark 3” is part of the Lorenz entire proposal for divers. I thank Lorenz company to allow me to test the product after many end-users requested me to do it.
Technically wise this watch is studied for the marine environment but I wear it since two weeks and I find it perfect for a daily use and to go to the office.
My attention was captured from 30138DD, the two tone version. The color combinations of case, bracelet and dial are really very nice. Let’s go deep into the details.

Review of the Lorenz Shark 3
As said above I’m wearing the watch since a couple of weeks and what surprised me the most is that this is a very practical watch and easy to wear and manage. Those are characteristics that we will deepen.
The wooden box is really nice with the brand logo and the shark symbol.
The case has a size of 42 mm. and a height of 13 mm., and this allows the watch to meet the “right sizes” for a medium wrist like mine.
Two peculiarities of this watch are the weight of 140 grams and the crown position at 4 (and the crown size of 6 mm.). This position is studied not to disturb while moving the wrist. Together with the crown scalpering allows a very good grip and rotation.
Design and characteristics
Clean and elegant design. The contrast between the black dial and the stainless steel color of the case is very nice. The side finishing are polished with gold color details. Those are present in a very elegant way on the metal band, on the crown and on the outside part of the indexes and the bezel.
Let’s focus on the dial. It is very simple and clean, two specification that I appreciate. The indexes have a luminous layer that is very visible, At 4 we have the date enphasized by a cyclopic lens on a sapphire glass.
The gilted bezel has a black aluminium disc, one way turning with 120 clicks. At 12 we have a luminous round dot very practical in case of diving.
The caseback is screwed and I invite you to take a closer look to it as it shows a shark made with hydraulic oil press that is very nice and agressive. This is the shark from which this collection takes its name.
Movement
The movement of this Shark 3 is an 8215 Miyota Citizen. Manual winding, power reserve of 40 hours, 21 jewels. Does not have the stop seconds device.
Bracelet - band
The metal band is one of the strong points of this watch. Made of anallergic solid stainless steel has a very nice jubilée link with combined gold plated links together with stainless steel links. Sport safety buckle with Lorenz logo.
In the wooden box Lorenz is giving a second rubber strap and a screw driver for replacement.
Lorenz Shark Price
Recommended retail price is 289 euro. The all stainless steel color version of the Shark 3 goes to 279 euro. Both are in my opinion very competitive prices.
Lorenz Shark opinion
It is a very reliable watch that you can trust. High quality and very good value for money.
The design makes it ideal for any type of outfit, from the classic to the sporty one.
I also like the jubilée bracelet the is very soft on the wrist and the size of the case. I made several review of the 8215 because it offers reliability and accuracy.
I tried to find some negative poits but it was very hard. The direct competitor is Seiko 007 with which it has a lot in common.
