1934
Lorenz was established in Milan, on Via Monte Napoleone, in 1934. The founder and master watchmaker Tullio Bolletta saw the potential to combine sophisticated Italian style and Swiss technical expertise in a single product. The concept of classic Italian style combined with Swiss watchmaking savoir-faire was groundbreaking for its time.

1951
In 1951, the first watches with exclusive 19 and 25-jewel mechanical movements featuring Incabloc shock-absorbing balances were produced in Switzerland for Lorenz.

1960
In 1960, Lorenz received its first prestigious international award with the Static table clock, designed by the then-promising Richard Sapper, winning the Compasso D'Oro. In 2019, Static was relaunched on the market with entirely Made in Italy production.

1960s
Also in the 1960s, a collaboration began with prestigious Swiss companies such as AQUASTAR and EDOX for the production of high-performance professional diving watches.

1970s
In the 1970s, Lorenz was at the forefront of watchmaking and presented the Directime collection. These watches stood out for their "jumping hour" display.

1980s
In the 1980s, during the watch market boom, Lorenz launched a successful line of chronographs with Japanese movements and alarms; these models are still a benchmark for Lorenz enthusiasts today. Also during these years, the Montecarlo sports collection with a black anodized case was developed, one of Lorenz's greatest successes, which today inspires the Granpremio collection.

1984
In 1984, half a century after its foundation, Lorenz celebrated its historic headquarters. Thus, the Montenapoleone collection was launched, elegant in every way, from the materials used to the manufacturing technique. This collection is characterized by the skillful use of steel and rose gold and the construction of the case with movable lugs.

1994
In 1994, to mark the company's 60th anniversary, the first Anniversaire model was released, tracing the brand's history with inspiration from 1950s models.

2000
In the early 2000s, the relationship with international designers continued, leading Lorenz to collaborate with Culdesac Espacio Creativo and to the creation of the new Neos model, with a sandwich-constructed case, which again won the Compasso D'Oro in 2008.

2016
In 2016, the brand became the property of Leader Watch Company, a watch industry expert that is responsible for relaunching the brand from a production, distribution, and communication standpoint. New collections were developed, such as the Granpremio (sporty watches inspired by the world of motorsports) and Professional Divers. The latter follow in the footsteps of Lorenz's successful historical diving collections like Delfin, Acapulco, Aquitania, and Ouragan, and today represent the best of Lorenz's watchmaking production.

2019
In 2019, the Anniversary collection was created, featuring special mechanical movements to celebrate the brand's 85th anniversary.

2025
Leader Watch, which today boasts over 1,500 Lorenz distribution points in Italy, is committed to creating a collaborative relationship with its concessionaires-dealers throughout Italy and with its loyal customers.
